Cosmetic injectables
Non-surgical cosmetic treatment aimed to improve and enhance facial features by reducing the signs of aging through volume restoration and smoothing of fine lines and wrinkles. This is achieved by injecting substances such as Botox and/or dermal fillers into the body, most typically, in areas of the face.
Neuromodulators like Botox or Dysport, are performed by making small injections of botulinum toxin to block signals from the nerve to the muscle. The result is decreased muscle contractions leading to smoothing of both fine and deep lines/wrinkles- leaving your skin tightened, smooth and radiant.
Typical treatment areas: Frown lines (“11 lines” found between eyebrows), Forehead lines, Crows feet, Eyebrow lifting, Masseter muscle (used for facial jaw slimming, TMJ pain, or reduced teeth grinding), Lip flip, Chin (decreasing chin dimpling), the Armpits, Palms, and Hairline (for excessive sweating).
Treatment typically lasts 3-5 months depending on the individual, their metabolic rate, as well as treatment area. Specific questions and concerns can be addressed during individual consultation to best fit individual needs during treatment planning.
Dermal Filler is a gel like consistency typically made-up of hyaluronic acid. Filler can be used to add or replete volume loss typically in the face. Typical treatment areas include; Lips, Cheeks, Nasolabial folds, Under eyes, Temples, Chin and Jawline. Filler typically lasts from 6 month-18months depending on treatment area and the individual.
1:1
health COACHING
If you’re looking for something completely integrated and tailored to your specific needs, 1:1 wellness coaching might be the right step for you. The goal is to help clients achieve their health goals and empower them to integrate healthy habits into their lifestyles.
Whether it is relieving a chronic medical condition or incorporating a healthy diet, health coaching can be a game-changer in transforming a person’s life.
According to recent studies, having a health coach can dramatically improve a person’s blood pressure, cholesterol, body weight/body mass index, fitness, and chronic medical conditions such as, cardiorespiratory fitness, obesity, arthritis, diabetes, and cancer.
What is a health coach?
A health coach is a professional who uses evidence-based conversation and strategies to engage patients in behavior changes to improve their health. Drawing on educational backgrounds of human behavior and motivation we find a regimen that allows clients to achieve their health goals and empower them to integrate healthy habits into their lifestyles. Through evidence based practices and communication we will devise strategies for achieving your goals. These may include discussions on:
Chronic disease or illness management
Nutrition (diet and exercise)
Stress reduction
Sleep
Time management
Weight loss
Smoking Cessation
Addiction
Through cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing techniques, we may process mental blocks, pre-work schedules to make time for exercise or sleep, and more.
As a Registered Nurse, I have the training and knowledge to assist/guide you with your professional partners to map out your health goals and plan. I have the ability to help you work alongside physicians to fill in the gaps in care. I am able to provide guidance and support that some patients need to fulfill their goals.
An example of how a health coach works alongside your healthcare providers: a doctor can recommend eating healthy and to exercise regularly, while a health coach can provide you with the knowledge and tools needed to improve selfcare, well-being, and overall health. A health coach will provide guidance, support and a level of accountability to the patient as they navigate their health goals.
Vitamin InjectionS IV hydration
Vitamin injections are an intramuscular injection that delivers concentrated vitamins into the muscle to be absorbed into the bloodstream. When injecting directly into muscle, vitamins bypass the GI tract creating the benefit from full absorption. Vitamin injections are a fast and effective way to provide optimal nutrition for ideal body function, providing: improved immunity, improved sleep patterns, increased energy/mood enhancement, improved hair, skin and nail health, increase in mental well-being/clarity, metabolism boost, preventative cell damage, engaged athletic performance and endurance… to name a few …
Similarly to vitamin injections, IV hydration effectively hydrates and has the ability to deliver vitamins and minerals quickly by bypassing the GI system for rapid, full absorption into the bloodstream. Studies have shown that vitamins taken by mouth may only absorb 20% of vitamins/minerals through supplementation/diet while IV/injections provide 100% of needed nutrients. Rehydrating can fight off symptoms of: headaches, brain fog, fatigue, dry and itchy skin, that can be signs you have not been drinking enough water.
Drinking an excess of fluids can strain your digestive system as it attempts to rid the body of excess volume. During this process your body primarily brings fluids to the tissues of the digestive tract. Excess fluids are then flushed from the body, which can also deplete the body of vital electrolytes and nutrients. Because IV hydration does not rely on the digestive system, it creates less waste as it brings fluids to all body tissue in need. This provides a more even hydration throughout the body while reserving nutrients.
IV therapy can also serve as a method for rapid rehydration, especially in cases of dehydration caused by illness, excessive sweating, or alcohol consumption.
Microneedling
Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, is a method of stimulating collagen production in a sterile and controlled way. The microneedling process uses multiple tiny sterile needles to penetrate the skin causing microtrauma. The microtrauma initiates the body’s healing cascade which in turn stimulates collagen production.
Microneedling can treat a variety of skin conditions that cause depressions in the skin, such as; acne scarring, surgical scars or other forms of scarring, burns, enlarged pores, wrinkles, and stretch marks.
Overall results help to; even skin tone and texture, reduce fine lines and wrinkles, reduce hyperpigmentation, minimize pore size, break up scar tissue to reduce the appearance of acne scars, burns or surgical scarring.
Depending on goals, recommended treatments can range from 1-3+ sessions spaced 3-6 weeks apart. For further improvements, microneedling can be combined with chemical peel treatments. Combined treatments stimulate collagen production while lifting dark spots from the skin, revealing clear smooth, plump and even complexion.
